The adult ministry opportunities focus on the messages of the Bible, relationships and experiences all designed to bring adults closer to Jesus. On this page we highlight the adult Bible Classes, the adult Life Groups, and adult Wednesday Evening Community Meal, Workshops and Classes.
Adult Bible Classes
The Bible teaches that we will be transformed by the "renewal" of our minds. Our Bible Classes are a place where we come together in fellowship to share in the study of Scripture so that we may be transformed and grow together in faith and love.
The Sunday Morning Bible Study classes meet between 10:05-10:45am.
"Turning the World Upside Down: Lessons from Acts" Meeting Room 1 & 2, Facilitator: Lamar Reinsch
"How did Jewish faith in Jesus turn into a "new" religion that included growing numbers of Gentiles? How did a movement that began in rural Galilee spread into the major cities of the Roman empire, reaching even Ephesus and Rome? How did a tiny movement turn into something that could be accused of "turning the world upside down" (Acts 17:6)? Join us as we discuss the book of Acts
Young Adults Class, Meeting Room 3, Facilitator: Scotty Salyer and others
In this group, we welcome young adults and not-so-young adults to study the Bible together, make new friends, share insights and encourage one another. This class is discussion based with emphasis on applying Scripture to the challenges of today's world. Come join us as we grow together in the faith.
"Gathered for Prayer", Prayer and Care Room, Facilitator: Carlene Patterson & Others
This prayer group is open to anyone who wants to pray with us or request prayer. Scripture reminds us to "pray in the Spirit with all kinds of prayers and requests". The prayer time includes insightful scriptures to bring us closer to our Heavenly Father.
Adult Life Groups
Life Groups are small groups that meet weekly all over the Albuquerque area. The smaller life group gathering offers an appropriate setting to develop a kind of community that fosters significant, Christ-centered friendships. These close spiritual relationships help empower us to become more like Jesus, in fact, we strive to become disciples for Jesus.
In these smaller groups, we come to know fellow disciples - and are known by them - in ways that lift up our spirits and our souls. There is more opportunity to ask the hard questions, voice doubts, confess needs, and express grief than in the larger gathering. When Jesus chose twelve to "be with Him," He provided a great model for the growth and development of disciples.
We provide information about the life group locations, meeting times, and leaders here.
